SHIFT & SCHEDULE
Full Time, Monday - Friday; 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/PERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONS
· Participate in patient positioning and surgical site verification
· Assist with prepping and draping the surgical field
· Ensure all instruments, implants, and equipment are available and functioning
· Assist with controlling bleeding using cautery, clamps, or ties
· Assist with deep and superficial wound closure
· Perform knot tying, running sutures, or staple application as appropriate
· Pass instruments efficiently and accurately
· Assist with drilling, reaming, suctioning, irrigation, and cutting sutures
· Assist with reduction, positioning, and implant support in orthopedic cases
· Communicate effectively with surgical team
· Participate in on-call rotation for trauma and after-hours cases
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
· Completion of an accredited Surgical Technology program
· Certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST)
· Orthopedic surgical experience strongly preferred
