Job Responsibilities
- Teaching Responsibilities
- Assess the accomplishment of students on a regular basis
- Maintain records of student attendance and progress
- Provide consistent and appropriate time spent at each clinical facility
- Understand policy for reporting accidents and completing incident reports
Instructional Development- Develop clinical rotation schedules
- Complete clinical evaluations per student for each clinical rotation. Written evaluation to be based on evaluating student from start to finish of a surgical procedure performed at a clinical site.
- Input case information onto case summary spread sheet
- Review all clinical documentation each week and provide student feedback in a timely manner.
Professional Development- Attend relevant professional meetings
- Represent the College positively in interactions with the community and with professional and academic groups at local,state, and national levels.
Minimum and Additional Requirements
- Diploma in Surgical Technology. National Surgical Technology Certification required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Minimum of two years’ experience as a Certified Surgical Technologist preferred.
